New Product: ProLine PLSRT with ground fault protection Pre-Terminated Self-Regulating Cable (Pipe, Roof and Gutter)

We are pretty impressed with ProLine’s new cable that includes ground fault protection in the cold lead cord. This allows a ground fault protected heating cable to be installed where ground fault outlets cannot be or were not installed. It’s approved for use with both roof and gutter deicing applications and also for pipe heat trace applications. It is simply a fairly standard self-regulating heating cable with the addition of an also fairly standard ground fault interrupter device.

Proline Pre-terminated Self-Regulating Heat Cable with ground fault protection for Water Pipes and Roofs – 50, 75 or 100 Foot Long – 120 Volt – 6 Watts per Foot at 50 Deg. F. – Plug and Cord Cold Lead (Plug Included)

New Product: Wrap-On Hook/Loop Straps for attaching pipe heating cable

Wrap-On Straps

These strips have been designed for the sole purpose of attaching pipe heating cable. Once the Wrap-On pipe heating cable has been installed around pipe, secure it with the Wrap-On Straps. Wrap one strip at the beginning of the insulation and every 10 to 12 inches thereafter ending with one at the very end of the insulation. Strips should be snug. FIBERGLASS PIPE WRAP IS REQUIRED to complete the installation.
Model #38015 – Size: 175mm (15 qty.)
Model #38030 – Size: 175mm (30 qty.)

Wrap-On Straps can also be used to secure the Fiberglass Insulation. Strips should be snug, but not tight when using them with Fiberglass Insulation.

EasyHeat self-regulating electric heat trace cables are now listed and certified for freeze protection from main water lines to sprinkler heads!

EasyHeat SRTrace self-regulating electric heat trace cables are now listed and certified for freeze protection from main water lines to sprinkler heads. Recent NFPA 13 changes have approved self-regulating cables for branch sprinkler systems for use for fire protection in specification projects. EasyHeat freeze protection is inexpensive to run, with virtually no maintenance needed. It’s also safer than conventional systems, since it offers a quicker response without the need for antifreeze chemicals.

See it on our website at:

http://www.morelectricheating.com/products/MANUFACTURERS/EASY%20HEAT/EASY%20HEAT%20SR%20SERIES/EASY%20HEAT%20SELF-REGULATING%20PIPE%20FREEZE%20PROTECTION%20HEAT%20TRACE.aspx

NO DELAYED RESPONSE AND NO CHEMICALS FOR RELIABLE, CLEANER FIRE PROTECTION.

EasyHeat’s fire protection system is ideally suited for carports, crawl spaces, non-heated attics, car washes, walk-in freezers and other unheated residential or commercial locations where branch sprinkler systems are used for fie protection. Because the system is always charged with water, there is less risk of corrosion due to trapped moisture and air. Electricity costs are minimal because EasyHeat’s self-regulating cables and temperature controls apply heat only where and when it is needed.

LESS MAINTENANCE WITH AUTOMATIC, SELF-MONITORING HEAT. EasyHeat’s fire protection system is ideally suited for residential garages, car washes, attics and crawlspaces, or any other unheated location where branch sprinkler systems are used for fie protection.Once the system is installed, there are no maintenance costs, no chemicals to buy, and no need to pay a professional to clear water lines annually. You won’t have to worry about corrosion caused by trapped moisture or chemicals that can lead to clogged sprinkler heads. And because the temperature controls only applies as much heat as needed, electricity costs are minimal.

SELF-REGULATING HEAT OUTPUT. Automatically varies heat output as needed, allowing the cable to be overlapped without creating hot spots during operation.

QUICKER RESPONSE.With dry systems, valves control water flow. As a result, water takes longer to reach the sprinklers from the source. EasyHeat products ensure that water is always running through the line and can immediately begin flowing to the area.

CLEANER FOR YOUR FACILITY.No antifreeze is needed, eliminating the possibility of chemicals leaking into drains and ground water. And if a fie does occur, no chemicals are sprayed on your facility or equipment.

The Heating Cable Guy (Brian)

Heating_Cable_Guy_Brian

It’s no secret that Mor Electric Heating is very strong in the Roof and Gutter Heating Cable and Pipe Heating Cable markets. In fact many times we have been called the 800 pound Gorilla. About the only cable we don’t sell is Raychem/Chemelex. We are definitely interested in positioning ourselves as the USA leader in Heating Cable sales, stock and technical. There was a time about 15 years ago when we were that big in floor warming and we are quickly moving back into that position again.

So it is only fitting that we have a “Heating Cable Guy” as one of our salesmen.  If you are a cable installer or buyer of heating cable, there is really no reason to call any other company. Brian is so knowledgeable and our stock levels are so high that you can’t go wrong. Also because of our standing as a large distributor for most of the manufacturers (NuHeat, EasyHeat, Danfoss, Wrap-On, King Electric, PowerTech, ETI, EzeWarm, Calorique, WarmlyYours and Chromalox ) we have the ability to match or beat any other quotes you have.

Brian can quickly understand your roof, floor or pipe layout and decisively recommend the best way to handle your freeze protection or heating problem. We have Contractors who are amazed at how excellent the experience with Brian is.

Brian has been working for Mor Electric Heating for many years. Before coming to us he worked for his fathers Rep. Agency. Day Sales Agency is/was primarily an EasyHeat Representative and Brian was in daily projects and on job sites handling some of the biggest Heating Cable jobs around for many years. EasyHeat is the leader in the heating cable market and we are one of their largest distributors. Brian’s brother Phil runs Day Sales now and we communicate with him daily about some of the toughest Heat Trace jobs out there.

There back! Wrap-on, the original, highly sought after pipe cable has returned!

Wrap-on has achieved certification again. After a brief mix-up involving UL in September 2014 they have come back into the market fully certified, this time by ETL.

People love this cable, because it is such low wattage that it can be wrapped around the pipe instead of attached in a line along the bottom like most other cables.
