Introducing Danfoss IceGuard Heat Trace for Roof and Gutter or Pipe Heating

Danfoss is making another huge entry into the Roof and Gutter Heating Cable and Pipe Heating Cable markets with their new IceGuard kits.

These new cable kits are in direct competition with EasyHeat’s outstanding PSR kits.  The availability of these commercial grade cable kits allows us to quickly and easily provide a higher quality cable solution.  Recently Nuheat also entered the market by creating their own 13mm plug-in self-regulating heating cable kits using their commercial grade cable, and it was a huge success.  We expect the same from Danfoss.  Danfoss is from Denmark primarily and they also own Devi, and together they are one of, if not the largest heating cable manufacturers in the world.  We have been eagerly anticipating this move by Danfoss because we saw their incredible power and professionalism when they entered the lower grade constant wattage market with their RX kits that directly competed with EasyHeat’s ADKS and Wrap-On’s R&G kits.  The RX kits were an instant sucess in every way and we were quite stunned that they could go up against the EasyHeat ADKS standard in the industry.

IceGuard kits are designed for residential and commercial roof & gutter de-icing or pipe heating applications. These plug-in self-regulating heating cable kits are available in 120V or 240V and are installed on roofs and placed inside gutters and downspouts to create and maintain drain paths for water, or wrapped around pipe to prevent freezing.

IceGuard kits are also the first Commercial Grade, Self-Regulating Roof and Gutter Heat Trace that can be used with shingle piercing clips (Clips do not have to be nailed/screwed to  your roof).  Some customers do not want to nail through their roof (although the nailing is all done up underneath the shingle above and there are already nail holes holding the shingles near there anyways). Shingle clips gives them the option to attach to the shingle if they do not mind piercing the shingle with the clip and creating a small cut in the shingle.

Danfoss has designed their new clip larger than other clips, and therefore they can handle the additional weight/size of a self-regulating cable, including their RX-C cut to length cable.

Nail/screw type clips are also available:

IceGuard kits will be in stock within a week.
